well, i wouldn't quite count out "no blood relation"
The Hokuto moves in mysterious ways. anyone who has read the original hokuto no ken manga should still remember the weird shit they gave us in "shura no kuni"
so lets clarify:
chronologically
1) Kenshiro in Souten no Ken is the "big brother/master" of Ryuken(who is called Ramon as a kid)
2) Ryuken is the "father/master" of Kenshiro in Hokuto no Ken
3) Kenshiro stars in his post apocalyptic saga as saviour in Hokuto no Ken
4) Then its revealed that all blood is tied together in Hokuto no Ken 2
