I've just recently finished reading Web Version of Ch5 and final Chapter of Alicization in Chinese (missing 6 and 7), so I can answer some of the stuff like this:

Yes, they're still a couple. When Asuna and Alice met in the Underworld though they did not get along and seems to have a War going on for Kirito's heart, put in ceasefire only because of all the other crap going on at the time. Both seems to be itching to re-starting the war and Kirito knew better to step between them (or is just too scared at what might happen to him if he tries).

According to the TL people in the Chinese forum I lurk in, the 1st two volume of Alicization is only approximately 17.77% of the entire Alicization plot thus far. We'll be seeing another 3 volumes of LNs for this arc I think.
