Sure, being positive means looking on the bright side of life. But she doesn't even acknowledge any of those tragedies in her life
ever happened. It is likely Kafuka had so much tragedy in her life that she couldn't take it anymore, as such she held on to sanity by denying the
existence of negative things...
...which means, of course, Kafuka is a bomb waiting to go off. If there ever was to be a moment of negativity that penetrate her mental barrier, she would snap like a twig and go postal.
