I don't see how a Noe end would be inconsistent. As far as I am concerned both girls have equal chance and can work with the story. After all Noe is the only girl who thinks about what Shin wants and cheered him on to actually get off his ass and put some effort into things he wants to do. Maybe one of these things will be to confess to hiromi, or maybe he will fall for the girl who supported him. Either way I don't really care as Shin is one of the worst male harem leads I've seen and Aiko got the decent guy.
