Some awfully generous appraisals of the first episode here. I was familiar with everything up to Ouvertüre, but even to me this was poorly handled. Characters flitted in and out without any context. The artwork is a little flat compared to the earlier seasons too.

Because if one dares deviate from the source material the sky will fall down, end of world etc. Or so the fan logic goes.
