he's definitely him
unmistakeable gaze, even without the spectacles
since
is probably one of the finest renditions of a Clamp manga (at the same time sinister, cheerful, cruel, warm), and the tone somewhat matches, I think that any reference/relation would be forgivable. I mean, it's not Kobato (would have been a bit mismatching
)
but now we want
we are reminded that every wish has a price, and this time might be quite heavy. lots of "can't say it yet", though.
Spoiler:
Wata-inu seems to imply that the person that "bought" the wish is the same Saya's promised her protection to.
to be more specific, that short monologue, and the dialogue with Saya, are quite ambiguous. It's not clear, for example, if somehow Saya herself is Watanuki's customer, paying with her memories (but this is highly unlikely, and who knows Xxxholic/Tsubasa story would probably agree for a certain reason), or if the receiver of
Saya's promise is the wishing customer, and somehow he paid a high price for it (loosing Saya's affection?).
or was the wish deal made with the elder bairns?
The existence of an experiment seems confirmed also, as the fact that Saya's father is actually her father; the existence of the fighting-miko mother is now directly questioned.
It seem implied that Saya + father had quite a different idea from Guimavre-kun and the Experiment is meant to understand who was right...
still disappointing to see that not enough "intermediate" answers are given, anyway.
and still weird to see nobody noticing that the girl is walking around with a katana.
speaking of Clamp references, the ending enemy felt too Tsubasaish, and Tokizane doesn't freak out enough. hm. might have been better. as a compensation for the mistake, he could soon be a victim too
.
the concept of
and the feeling of "
fake town" (
) ring together in a
eerie way.
talking about Clamp cross-overs, it would be appreciable if this series is going to be used to
; it would be "epic"
highly subjective, but: bad ED sounds bad, and doesn't get any better
