PROBABLY just probably due to Tohyama clan issues. Well Kinji siding with Kaname even though she is not a real Tohyama. So big bro/sis is just reminding him of the status.
To begin with Kaname shouldn't have a hysteria mode. Sure her hysteria mode is strong against girls and weak against the guy he like but the fact is. In Tohyama clan. The records states are the man in Tohyama clan inherit the hysteria mode. Kanama being genetically engineered copy of a Tohyama can use hysteria mode but still she is not a real Tohyama.
