Hmm my Japanese isn't something I'm proud of atm but if I read page 10 of the raw right, Medaka is saying something akin to "Because that is why I like Zenkichi." "I really like Hitoyoshi Zenkichi." Assuming I read it right, it explains Akune's dejected look and Kikaijima blushing more than usual in the next panel.

Oh I'm sure people are going to fight over this page though if that turns out to be the case.

Also Zenkichi was rather naive. He only got one hit in on Munakata and thought he was done. Even if he isn't a fighter, it would obviously take more than one hit to permanently down a member of the 13 party. He shouldn't have turned his back on the killer. Now he has several swords sticking out of his back. >.>

So, now that he's been impaled, will he show himself as 'normal'... or more than normal? Given how the headmaster's been interesting in Zenkichi since the latter is the only 'normal' in the group, yet has shown all the traits that the Flask Plan is aiming for, with regards to making 'normals' into geniuses. Aka 'the whole point of the Flask Plan's gathering of Abnormals'.

Although I'm hoping this doesn't mean we see Zenkichi in Perses mode... it'll be fun to see if he really CAN avoid dying, even though he's possibly just been 'killed'.
