Never post in frustration. You'll generally walk into some topic that's far too complex to be expressed properly in the state of mind you're in at the time.

(I wouldn't mind if there was a rule on the forum that purged all threads started from anger or frustration; bad starts are an awful way to kill a good topic)

The men appear too softly drawn and weak in body frame. I never had a problem with this until Anime directors started using this for most of there new series.

Old school anime had more mature characters I could connect with.

I've gone through the list of most of the modern Anime and they all have that light color soft hearted feminine boy theme and random fanservice.
-Minami-Ke Tadaima = loli
-Haitai Nanafa = moe
-AKB0048 Next Stage = obsessed otaku
-Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru = feminine boy
-Cuticle Detective Inaba = feminine again
-Maoyuu Maou Yuusha = Another anime for feminine loving boys
-Sukitte Ii na Yo = teen drama
-Medaka Box Abnormal = Yet another clean cut group of males
-Nekomonogatari = same femy
-Ai Mai Mi = moe
-Boku no Imouto wa Osaka Okan = moe
-Poyopoyo Kansatsu Nikki = moe
-Kamisama Hajimemashita = feminine looking guy

As you can see they don't care about old school Anime guys like me who enjoy normal and or masculine guys. I just feel hurt that Japan would forget about us.
Your points are valid, but your conclusion is lacking in depth and is too close to being simply an act of self-gratification. I'm sure you're right, but only towards your own point of view and those that share your specific point of view. To everyone else you fail to explain (just to name one issue) how exactly all of this matters? There are examples of manly men, in series such as Jojo, and older men are pretty easy to come by as long as you don't expect them to be main characters.

The reason why today you see a lot of young looking characters or "old characters" made to look young is to allow the audience to better sync with them (be it identify, relate or simply be someone they could accept to be on friendly terms).

If you want someone to blame for all this, blame all the crazy old geezers for ruining their image of mature, intelligent, authority and so forth; most importantly wisdom. Simply put, the faith today's youth puts on "experience in life" from old age, is virtually zero (if not negative; as in they believe you go crazy as you grow old), therefore you're unlikely to see prominent old looking characters unless it's some mentor figure (because those are a pure representation of authority, experience and wisdom).
