I would have to agree here. I loved the very end of the episode with the ED3 reprise, the montage and the old-school preview. And I loved Koala's story, which effectively made this the final episode of the Chimera Ant arc. But the resolution between Gon and Killua didn't give me what I was hoping it would. I know boys will be boys, and they'd rather show their vulnerability to their worst enemy than their best friend. And I know Gon and Killua didn't really choose Ging and Alluka over each other, per se. But absent any real cathartic moment between them, it feels very hollow.
I trust Togashi - he's the genius here, and he has his reasons for playing this the way he did. But for me, it wasn't what I was hoping for.
