I watch some dubs, but it's usually when shows are set in America/England (hearing Japanese in a clearly english environment really messes with my mind...).
Anyway, I don't know if it was explained in the anime, but in the manga at least, zaiphon actually spell out words like "love" and "hate" and Mikage was fond of throwing words like that at Tetio.
