Not just that, in essence this cloak must be made of a material that is a perfect mirror (but more complex). In order to really hide objects with passive materials (materials that need no extra source of power), you'ld have to transform the light without any energy losses... this would be as close as you can get to a perpetuum mobile (so I have my doubts about this... it might cloak whats beneath it, but the light should at least appear darker or red-shifted or something like that - at least time-shifted though).
