Do we know it doesn't? If you're thinking of how both the ink and mechanism would fit it's simple you just have 1/5th of the ink in it. It's not strange for it to run out of ink afterall.
It not having a tip shouldn't cause a fuss either since it's not exactly strange for it to break. "oh I think that one is broke, let me see if I have another..."
