The extreme speed for the Iscandarian ship made me think of a few things.

Though such speeds would answer the questions about how the Comet Empire was traveling from Andromeda Galaxy to Earth in such a short time without seeming to ever warp as far as the Earth sciences could tell. That a "comet or quasar" was headig for Earth has well over the speed of light should have tipped off the Government that something was seriously wrong. Yamato had to push it for Warping just to get back to Earth ahead of the Comet Empire and only beat them by a day or two.

And then there is Iscandar in New Voyages....and her ability to Warp from going too fast. A random property of Iscandarium? Wormhole generation?

That might explain how the floating continent got from Gamilas to Jupiter if all they need to do is accelerate the landmass fast enough for it to warp on its own. If one doesn't have a SMITE system or a strapped on Wave Motion Engine. We know the Gamilas have tractor beams of a sort. They could cut out a chunk and warp it to other parts of the Empire. And there are a lot of holes on Gamilas. A vast Empire.
