Some people might say that the manga's ending was a bit ridiculous, but I feel that the high amounts of heartwarming and moe involved more than make up for it. Plus, it's the only ending I've seen that deals with that issue in a satisfying way.

Full disclosure: I don't know how the game deals with that issue, though, as I've saved where the routes split and don't have the heart to go either way.
