Holy crap I actually made it to the end and Rin actually won something!!! The series really did improve after a really unfortunate first few episodes but while kind of intriguing was still only moderately enjoyable at best.

Sucked at the start but the finale was good.

To be honest, of the few shows I was watching this season, I enjoyed this one the most despite it being kinda crappy at times. lol

I too somehow endured and made it to the end. Some of the latter racing scenes were great, but the overall story just didn't cut it for me. These are Formula E cars with equipped AI yet when lightning struck, they all ran out of power like if you unplugged a slot car track.

Rin only won because of this plot twist, as well as the error in manual changing of the King's tire. After his narrow loss, he claims he can be a regular driver because others have beaten him. I know he was referring to Rin, but she is the least apt driver on the circuit. Others have beaten the King but the writing is just so atrocious here.

4/10 for me because some of the racing scenes were actually pretty decent.

To this day, in my opinion, nothing has surpassed Future Grand Prix Cyber Formula (and even that anime TV and OVA series had it's own flaws)

I am really happy that Rin got to win the final race.
It was great to se a rookie like herself work really hard and gain the respect of the others by the end of the year.
Rin had a fun personality, and I enjoyed her interactions with Ami.

Also, story-wise, 1. The commentator sucks 2. The whole AI and boosting stuff failed to make the races any more exciting. 3. It takes lightning to freeze a race. Yeah, you have all this technology... and one strike of lightning does them in So in other words, the characters and the setting are not very convincing As so, the parts that didn't involve racing weren't so bad to watch, outside of being CG Anyways, a VN game for this is being released on the Switch.
