Hey, Ebihara! We haven't seen you in a while! And look at how well he and Akira are getting along now, to the point where Akira can ask him to cover for Yoko's beatdown of Suzuki like a good big brother! It's surprisingly heartwarming .
This gun dealer really seems to make it a habit of supplying people trying to kill Akira or get involved in fighting Akira...but he's also aware enough to warn someone when taking on Fable is the absolute LAST thing you want to do. But Suzuki won't give up and thinks he can get out of Japan by the end of this. I don't see it going that well for him . I thought Utsubo would just use Hina as a hostage, but he planned to get her even more involved in his plot by telling her Akira is behind all her suffering, not just her accident but her parents' murder. Hina has been with Utsubo and suffered through their relationship all because she thought he would bring her to the culprit, and he finally hands her a name. And she's prepared to kill Akira now . I'm totally with Kuro in wanting to burn a DVD of Yoko beating Suzuki senseless, there needs to be some kind of permanent evidence of that fight ! Isaki losing Kainuma's body is going to come back to bite them. Also, I just love the idea of Kainuma's dead body floating downriver pantsless . Could Utsubo leave well enough alone? I feel like if The Fable organization was still determined to kill him, he'd be dead by now, but I guess he can't rest easy. Especially when he still remembers what Akira did to his friend and brother . The sibling team of Akira and Yoko are back in action! Did they seriously think Plan A would kill The Fable? He just flips the switch and he easily avoids an explosion. Did he spot Suzuki too ?

it's funny how they are going to use every dirty tactic to try and kill akira but everything will be useless, they aren't even in his radar.
I think hina is pretending to help them and is going to help akira instead. I doubt he is naive enough to believe utsubo just like that after knowing how much of a scumbag he is. |

I love how Akira set the bomb off because he felt like it was his responsibility to set off so some poor sap didn't do it accidentally. How civic-minded of him .
Sorry not sorry Isaki, Fable takes priority over friendship, especially where Kuro is concerned . It really goes to show how little a problem this is for Akira that he knows he's walking into a trap and is just casually shopping while Yoko is putting the work in to find Utsubo's position. I mean, he can't resist getting the latest magazine with Jackal in it, after all . So Akira can not only memorize a geographic location (albeit not permanently) but he can also swtich on "Drive Mode" which turns him into a diver on the level of Initial D. Meanwhile Kuro is enjoying every minute of getting to play sidekick to his bro . Dang it Yoko, you were supposed to stop driving! And then Suzuki gets her with the old fake grenade trick! And checks out her fine behind as he makes her crawl in front of him! Ugh . Although it really goes to show how Yoko is like her brother, or knows him so well, that she has just as much nerves of steel and is utterly unafraid when being held captive. She knows there's going to be a show, just not the one Utsubo thinks . Oh snap, Hina shot Utsubo! I mean, he was wearing a bulletproof vest so he survived, but still! She figured out he was her parents' real murderer because he gave away information he should not have been able to have! She was planning to get her revenge this whole time! And when Utsubo eggs her on about how she'd been sleeping with her parents' killer and her parents' last words, she works up the strength to finally stand up again to avenge them! Even if that means stepping on a mine ! I knew Utsubo was planning on using Hina to kill Akira, I didn't think it would involve planting a mine in front of that would take him and possibly her out...jeez. And he keeps egging Hina on to shoot him and make her set the mine off. Guy deserves a shot to the head . Wow, I guess Suzuki actually cares about Hina. He didn't seem to want her to blow herself up and was trying to talk her down to keep her safe, and he didn't want Utsubo egging her on like that. I honestly didn't expect that . Look at Akira with the Fable hero moment! Arriving just in time to catch Hina and make sure the mine doesn't go off! He finally got to make up for what happened by saving Hina! Now time to wrap up Utsubo and Suzuki .

Under a bright and starry night sky, The Fable swoops in to save Hina once again, and it's rather sweet how caring and considerate Akira is to Hina .
Suzuki, listen to reason! You can't beat Akira, Hina is about to blow herself up, and Utsubo obviously doesn't care about anyone but himself! To the point where he almost blows them all up with a grenade! But it'll take more than that to beat The Fable! And it convinces Suzuki he'd rather protect Hina than take down Akira . Nothing more satisfying than watching Yoko point a gun at Utsubo as he's fuming at his plan going off the rails! Or Hina using every bit of her physical therapy to stand still while they try to come up with a way to save her from the mine ! They've got an excavator, they've got a bulletproof vest...they have a way of limiting the explosion and saving Hina's leg all at the same time! Especially with Akira's quick reflexes! And to think he pulled all this off all the while wounded from shrapnel from Utsubo's grenade! Akira really is built different ! Utsubo lost. But of course, he refuses to live with that lost so he may as well throw a grenade and make Suzuki shoot him. If he was going to die, he wants it to be on his own terms. Not that he deserves it, but good riddance either way. And now he gets to be buried like all the people he killed and buried. I guess there's some karmic irony in that . Kind of a small world that Isaki knew the guy who brought Akira here and picked them up . It's sad to think Akira and Hina will never see each other again, but Hina deserves a safe and better life with her uncle in Saitama away from all this. And at least now, with all the support Akira gave her, she can stand on her own two feet. Even if it means a bittersweet farewell with Akira . But after some medical attention from Dr. Yoko (who ends up hurting him more than the shrapnel did) it's back to work for Akira! Complete with drawing Hina while buck-naked in the bath !
