Kay while Siegfried was the opposite of Shirou it seems Jeanne has a vision Sieg will become another hero. And being a hero sucks.
It looks everybody is going for the dangerous mother an daughter pair. Sieg will probably be dragged in it due to the chaos they bring. Vlad is understanding at least of Astolfo. He seems lenient on Christian heroes like him and Jeanne. Claus makes a good observation that the relationship of a Master and Servant needs communication than just orders. Fran is Moe as ever. Rejoice! The war is over and won! What the hell did you do Shirou? Looks like he brainwashed the other masters now he'll get their command spell except for Mordred's which Sisigo has. The way I see it are two freelancers, two teams, and team referee. |

It's still the author's doing though. Maybe he saw/realized something in the novel that readers don't and decided to change things in this anime.

She took up arms becuz she "heard voices". This shit was enough for the brits and their allies to get her burned. Oh, that she dressed up as a man.

Review here. Rulers get broken skills because they're meant to mediate the wars. Jeanne "Heard the voice of God" and led her allies in accordance with it, but afterwards she got screwed and martyred because of... well, actual history but you can guess why. According to wikipedia, the charges were claimed false around two decades after her death and the one who condemned her was declared of heresy. A little late for that, considering she'd died already, but okay.
There's an in-series explanation for the voices, but I'm not sure if it'll be covered here and I don't want to spoil so I'd suggest looking up Ruler on the Type-MOON wikia if you really want to know. But it can be summed up in one word: EMIYA.

Jeanne's mom asked for her late daughter to be cleared of her charges, rightly so since the trial was pretty much Stalinian in nature. Poor girl was illeterate, so it was easy for her accusers to trick her into signing whatever confession they forced upon her.
The Church made her one of the saint Patrons of France in early 20th century. It's just sad that she's not as popular as she used to be, because our local brand of liberals are fucking globalists. |

She knows that he will eventually be drawn into this war, that it is inevitable but despite that she's willing to give it her all for that tiny bit of chance so that it doesn't happen.
Normally it'd say that this is foolish and pointless. But seeing her so determined and sincere.....I can't help but wanting to support her. |

But who can blame her? He totally looks and sounds like a girl. If I hadn't known any better, I would have initially assumed he was just another genderbent historical figure. He is quite the fearsome trap to be able to fool even the servant Ruler.
