Natural Doctrine
Has all this talk about MMOs and ARPGs left you jonesing for some turn-based goodness? Did XCOM only whet that appetite?
If so, you're in luck. Kadowaka Game Studio saw fit to release into the wild (at least in Japan) today a cross-platform - PS3/PS4/Vita - entry into that space titled Natural Doctrine (official sites - JP/ENG). And they've apparently agreed to let NIS America have a go at spawning the NorAm/Europe incarnation; that effort is supposed to bear fruit later this year (reference).

Gamespot has recently let a short preview into the wild. Of the things shown therein, two points bear specific mention:

Such a pity Sega seems willing to let that wither on the vine. To this day I remain convinced there are at least two other types of games supportable by the IP: a Battlefield-type 3PS, and a larger-scale tactical game in the vein of EndWar - the engine is certainly capable enough, and all the assets are in fact there.

Advise - data received
A new trailer giving an overview of the multiplayer modes is now in the wild.
Some looking around also turned up about ninety minutes' worth of gameplay with commentary from a pair of NIS America team members.
