Anime studio Seven opened a website on Friday to announce that Sigma Torai's Omiai Aite wa Oshiego, Tsuyoki na, Mondaiji. (My Marriage Interview Partner is a Student, Strong, and a Problem Child.) adult romance manga is getting a series of anime shorts that will air on television and stream online.

The age-gap love story centers on a problem child student named Shūji Kuga and the late-blooming teacher Nana Saigawa.

while i find these ecchi series interesting it just feels like this is the lane where ecchi will thrive. rather than full series they will become niche shorts.

i remember we used to have seasons with several full-length ecchi series and some would even get a sequel. idk but i will enjoy what little we get

To repeat myself:

Nah, this belongs to a category called "teens love" (even the publisher itself uses this label, WARNING: SO SO NSFW), and the target audience is in fact teen girls. The only reason they're not technically shoujo manga is that they're not published by shoujo labels, the target demographics is the same. These series are generally not published in magazines, these are web/smartphone app stuff, for a reason. Your mom won't find these under your bed!

Anyway, I guess the anime thing seems to be working out for the publisher? Good for them, or whatever. In theory I'm all for more smutty wishfulfilment stuff for girls, in practice this is so very much not my cup of tea...
