Lines blinking on vids when at full screen?

I don't know why but on quite a few anime and music vids when I try to put them at full screen res annoying small lines keep appearing accross the vid. Is there any codec to stop this?

Sometimes it might be the codecs that you use. Try to uninstall the codecs and reinstall the latest codecs.

This thread belongs in the "AnimeSuki Forum > AnimeSuki & Technology > Playback Help" Forum, but I guess we can let that go.

Here is a link to the Media Configuration Guide; while slightly difficult to understand, it provides all the codecs you'll ever need.

Did most of what was said, still no change. Maybe even worse.

I've noticed that all vids I'm having probs with have this - stream name: video 2
Make any sense? o.o

Does it make sense? No, not particuarly, could you explain further (maybe even post a screenshot)?

Also, download and install the GSpot Codec Information Appliance and open up one of the problem files. Specifically, check which codec was used to encode the file and which one is used to render the file.

Another thing to check is the Render Method of your Media Player. If you are using Media Player Classic, you can change how the video is rendered. This can make a big difference; however, since it only happens on specific files, it seems unlikely.

Often "System Defualt" is a poor choice.

The problem you're having could just be the way it was encoded, but more likely its a codec incompatability.

If you're running a really old graphics driver, perhaps you should give that an update. Though it could be an problem with the video player itself. Do you get the same issue with different players?
