Kodomo No Jikan 2nd Season

So they decide to throw a season 2 at us when season 1 was trashed by the censor-phobic and loli-phobic, leading to the series being underrated.

But it's good to see that they are going to finish what they have started off.

Anyway, is anyone going to skip this season altogther and watch the DVD release this time round ?

Adding the covers of the seinen manga Kodomo no Jikan in this post:

=================

こどものじかん
Kodomo no Jikan

Seinen manga.

Kodomo no Jikan official anime site:
http://www.kojika-anime.com/

The manga is serialized in the seinen(young men's) manga magazine Comic High!, and published under the seinen comic imprint Action Comics.
For now there are 5 volumes released of this manga.
Covers:

Spoiler:

Mangaka: Kaworu Watashiya

From Matthew's Anime Blog:

Quote:
Daisuke is a 23 year old new schoolteacher. He ends up being put in charge of a 3rd grade elementary school class since the previous teacher quit, and in that class there's a girl who's quite a troublemaker -- Rin Kokonoe. You could call her a masegaki (used to describe a kid that acts more like an adult in some ways), and she's also part tsundere (though more dere than tsun). She's somewhat similar to Miu from Ichigo Mashimaro, I guess. Besides Rin, Daisuke's got other problems to take care of -- one of the students in his class, Mimi (one of Rin's friends), hasn't been attending school recently.
Genre: Seinen, Comedy

Hmmm...should I? This is an eye candy feast for lolicons and also-lolicons, and the manga is great.

This news made me so happy it's part of the reason I decided to finally make an account here.

Great news, although I was worried for a bit there that a new tankoubon (#5) had come out without me getting it.

Yay!

Oh I am so happy to hear this. But since they deviated from the source material, where will they pick up at? I hope they go back to the source material. The new anime content was interesting, but not as good as the manga. Well I just hope that they will not censor, but even if they do, I will watch.

Aye, the manga is proving to be a wonderful story and, of course, NOT what the righteous idiots thought it was.

The anime plotline was okay (well.. so-so) ...... (actually, I loved the honking profanity)... but I'm kind of unclear what the second season would be *about* exactly since it did deviate considerably from the manga. I don't know how they'd bring it back on track.

I do have a bad kind of AYA Enishi feeling (a collection of episodes with no real plot connections) but obviously - will just wait and see.

Well, that depends, if they are going to pull the "marketing" strategy trick again... then, yes I rather wait for the DVDs; as a matter of fact I haven't watched the remaining 6 episodes of the series, the reason is obvious: cant' stant the f****ing censoring (I actually meant frigging, but as you can see censorship can be, sometimes, misleading). I have this really, really bad urge to watch them but the censoring is just too brutal to bear, so I must persevere. .

I share your pain and yes, it's a really hard grudge that won't be easily forgotten.

Kodomo no Jikan (season 2)

I'm surprised it gets a 2nd season. I thought the last one was final.

Much as I supported the first season, the manga and such.... I don't see any point to a second season other than squeezing a few more cents out of the property, especially since they went on a condensed version of their own path.

Whatever, I probably won't follow it. Like I say -- just because I thought highly of the original Star Wars trilogy doesn't mean I bought into a very special "A Wookie Christmas". or most of the crap that came afterward..... (ignores the Ewoks completely).

Well, then you won't see much point to the newly announced Kodomo no Jikan OVA series.

So they bring us an OVA, a TV series, an OAD, a second TV season, and this newest OVA series... A great example for anime announcing and terminology.

Well I will check it out, no doubt, but I just hope its entertaining, as I was expecting the first season to be an animation of the manga and got my ass juked... This time, I'm just going to ty to enjoy it for what it is, instead of comparing it to the awesomeness that is the manga.

Edit: Well it appears that shiro x kuro-chan shenanigans will happen, so I'll watch it for that... But I recognize some sense from the manga so maybe it will be like the first season where half if from the manga and half is made up...

You know its going to be censored, you'll have to wait for the DVD releases for the uncensored version.
