This was an okay start. I thought the solo dungeon crawling and fighting was solid, but it seems like that won't be the main plot of the story. I'm not sure two cute girls doing dungeon management will be something I'm interested in, but I'll give it another episode or 2 to see if its premise becomes entertaining enough.

Uuuuuh. I don't know what rode those people who did this to make all the characters have child-like models (even for anime), but that's a bit too much. Not to mention that the ethics of this show seem to be pretty screwed up, because people obviously die in those dungeons and you are asking of the audience to just accept that premise.. so, um, no.

I'm enjoying this anime more than I expected. It's a bit like the old sim-game "Dungeon Keeper" (it even has the "possess monsters" option) crossed with a bit of low-level kuudere yuri action going on between Clay and Belle. The simplified animation style matches the manga and works well enough with the voice actors filling in the gaps. Solid eight out of ten for me at the moment.

4th ep got some chuckles outta me. Also Clay smiled quite a bit in this one too =03. There were a lot of little things that just tickled me, like the slime fax machine, and the hammerspace bags. The administrative aspects of the dungeon are interesting to me; I just like seeing how things work.

On a side note, she keeps saying she reached the 9th floor, but she fought the minotaur on the 8th floor, and never beaten it. So technically, she's only reached the 8th, unless I'm missing something....

It's not my favorite style of design by any means, but it reminds me of Azumanga Daioh. It is charming in its own way. At least the kills are graphic.

Also, one of the previous episodes shown that the monsters don't die; its like there's a system that creates a puppet in the likeness of the monster, so even if an adventurer kills it, the monster's consciousness goes back into the original body. Not that that'll change your mind about the series; just clarifying an aspect of it.

In EP1 the double-headed canine is the 8th floor guardian. The globin x 3 is the normal monster on the 9th floor and the minotaur is the boss of the 9th floor.

Ah okay, thanks for the clarification. I got confused because Belle had told her that she made it to the 8th floor all on her own. I hadn't rewatched earlier parts where she fights the dog.

This series turned out to be one of my favorites this season.

I still wonder how they make a profit though. While they can save a lot by producing the rewards in-house and recycling the monsters, they still have to get something from the adventurers to make ends meet. Maybe something like their life force?

Turns out that Clay's cooking sucks. If she at least learned to add reasonable amounts of salt it could be called "manly/simple cooking", but with just sliced unpeeled vegetables thrown into boiling water, it's... something.

And Clay finally returns to exploring the dungeon (I was actually wondering how she is gonna get the approval of her dagger since she is no longer doing that). Will be fun if she meets some of the guys she just murdered when she returns to work .

Also in the preview, Belle drank the dwarven "water", but can she even get drunk?

They are either cutting costs or possibly want to give a more stark contrast between her "adventurer mode" and "dungeon helper mode".

I don't know what Helldande expected to happen though. Obviously, the mage that can randomly teleport people between words is a tough nut to crack and even if she wasn't insanely OP, since she is frequently employing other people she could have also drowned him in numbers. And that's ignoring that even if he was as strong as he thought, wouldn't he just stay stranded in the "demon world" after taking the stones? He doesn't have a way to get back.

And yeah, don't anger Belle. Also, I have no idea why Clay's indifference to zombification is such a problem, her indifference to murder should be more alarming.

Looking forward to Clay "learning" even more languages in future episodes .

Been a bit behind in this series, but managed to catch up today. As toradorable as Belle is, she can be quite scary when she needs to be. The way she decided to kill that demon in such a straightforward notion felt a bit contradictive to her general demeanor and appearance. Guess you can't judge a book by its cover .

The dungeon-making mechanics are still fairly interesting. It almost feels like advanced/futuristic technology they are using, and not some special magic system.

While Clay is slowly getting stronger, she still doesn't hold a candle to Belle. The way they handled the king's adventurer team without even using magic was pretty cool. I'm surprised Clay didn't make any particular observations about their fight, like how smart it was for them to rush her, or that she should also try to overpressure her in close combat. Ofc she did something similar when they first fought, but could have used a reminder for today's episode.

The king swooning over Clay was pretty amusing; she really had those Overly Cautious Hero vibes when the solution was much more simple. I'd thought he'd go for Belle, seeing how strong she is, but I glad that's not a thing, since trying to get the girl simply because she's powerful... just isn't something I want to see. But I suppose that still wouldn't have worked out, because Belle is fully(platonically ofc) Clay-sexual .

Yeah, she is exactly the type that will commit a mass genocide without blinking and then discuss what will be for dinner while cutely trying to step over the strewn bodily parts to not dirty her dress.

I rather think there was simply nothing to comment about it. From an objective perspective, that was a top MMA fighter "fighting" against three 6-year-olds. The butler likely could win the fight and he was easily taken down by Clay, so the fight against Belle was simply without any chance. And she didn't even use any magic...

He can't see Belle as a girl since he already sees her as a monster. I think he would have more chances with her than Clay though. Not only is Clay denser than neutron star, he also has a love rival in the greatest monster around.

"The butler likely could win the fight"? I'm not sure what fight you're referring to here. But the idea does make sense. There was nothing to mention because Belle didn't do anything notable.

That is a fair point. Although I'm just gonna believe Belle is looking at it from a friendship standpoint. She's never been shown to have any friends, and I don't see no dokidokis or blushing from her. She at least understands romantic nuance , though I wouldn't expect a sniveling guy like the King to be anywhere close to her interests. Clay could still open her eyes to it; she need only to escape her Cautious Hero mode which I'm sure someone(likek Rangard) will tell her .
