Feel free to discuss any music related subjects for Re:Zero here (OP/ED & OST, etc.). As the usual rule, NO POSTING LINKS TO MP3s OR ASKING FOR THEM. You may buy them at the usual place such as cdjapan and what not, but DO NOT ask for or post links to any music downloads. This includes, but isn't limited to:
This also includes links to YouTube videos NOT uploaded by the original artist. |

Quoting someone from the "WN, LN, Manga" Thread.

On another note I liked the Opening Analysis of Mother's Basement on Youtube. Especially since he is cross analysing Konosuba and Re:Zero at the same time. Both shows have such a different take on this genre. Spoiler:
Is it true that the authors of Konosuba and Re:Zero are best friends in real life btw? Anyone know? I still prefer the first ending to any of the Openings acoustically. |

Both th 2nd OP and ED singles have leaked on Youtube.
Full version of Paradisus Paradoxum is pretty good, (LEVEL UPLEVEL UPLEVEL UP ) but wow the insert song "theater D" is amazing! Stay Alive also pretty beats out Style Helix for best ED in the show and maybe the year. Lastly Wishing is beautiful. Out of everything Paradisus Paradoxum, is probably the weakest track, but it no means IMO. |

Paradisus-Paradoxum is amazing and my favorite from the single. Was spamming the TV version for a while so I couldn't wait for it. Love the entire song throughout and theater D is also great.
Stay Alive definitely tops STYLE HELIX as best ED. More powerful song and maybe a little character bias. |

Either way, I'm just happy Myth & Roid's doing so well. They deserve it, because all 4 of their singles thus far have been pretty darn good, imo.

OST, opening/ending are usually the one being praised in series as well as in this one but I also think the sound design in this anime is really damn good. I've never seen an anime that established an iconic sound effect like the one played when Subaru was being revived in the first couple of episodes. (the ghost like hah) It's unique and I will probably remember it for a long time and connect it to this anime.
I also really like how they did the sound effects when Betelgeuse was talking to his henchmen. The muttering was a really cool idea and the music fit the atmosphere really well. Nitpicky stuff but important to my enjoyment. Whoever is doing the sound design in this series is doing a stellar job. It's really easy to mess up a movie or series with bad sound design but this one certainly proves it can do even better than the average. Haven't really seen an anime with bad voice acting but in this one the voice actors especially those for Betelgeuse and his fingers seem to have a lot of fun portraying their almost comical insanity. It's a ton of fun listening to them. I can't even imagine how they will be able to pull it off in the dubbing. |

Haven't seen that, will check it out at some point. :P
But sounds like you mean a catchphrase, I mean an ambient sound effect. That's a bit different since it's not really actively heard by the characters but rather just for the audience. Otherwise I would name Dio's muda muda as well.^^ I was thinking about it more as a business kind of practice. In advertisement we have certain sound effects(forgot the name it was a special one) we connect to a certain brand as well. It exists for series but I tend to forget them and rather remember the music not some short sound effect. Just googled. It's called Sound/Audio Branding, not sure how it's called when a sound designer talks about the specific sound fx tho. Last edited by SMT; 2016-09-06 at 16:13. |
