Many thanks!

Honestly I think reading this story has been a lot of fun over the years. They definitely are taking the opportunity to add some elements to his version (like Ishtar), but it maintains the overall story path. Fair enough as well that the mangaka would want to add a personal touch since just purely adapting the story would probably feel a bit dull.

Melt has utterly been the star of the show in this adaptation and has gotten to shine as much as anything else in Fate has allowed. Her early fight against Tristan showed that off. Just beautifully dodging attacks, getting increasingly heated due to her Sadistic Constitution, and utterly tanking his noble phantasm before delivering one heck of a strike in return. I think moments like that have been worth this adaptation being made.

Spoiler for Chapter 33.3:

Spoiler for Chapter 33.4:

I've got to say it's fun being able to just go through my thoughts on these chapters as they come out. I'm loving the way they are telling the story. Obviously the game did what it could, but there's something to be said about really seeing these battles.

Caught up to the latest chapter. This is definitely a great adaptation of Seraph, I like how much the mangaka expanded on stuff. Seeing all those Servants making cameos is a real treat. Ishtar being one of the sentinels was a curveball but sadly, it didn't amount to much. It felt like it was mostly done for fanservice, but I'm not complaining.

I was a bit surprised Kiara was outright shown to be the therapist, but I guess the reason I didn't manage to guess it in the game is that I was completely unfamiliar with her back then. After playing CCC, it becomes a lot more obvious that someone who "heals" patients with sex and drives them crazy could only be her. Plus the bigger twist was left intact.

Seeing Emiya Alter's past was a treat. I mean, not in the sense that it was fun since what he went through was horrible, but it's nice to see what happened to him first hand. No wonder he's so much edgier than his regular self considering what he's had to do. It didn't seem like he was acquainted with Rin in his timeline since he showed no indication of recognizing Ishtar's vessel. Nor Sakura for that matter since he didn't react to BB either.

Given the releases aren't very fast, the manga will keep going for a while. Hoping for a few more curveballs.

There's no way he didn't know them in some capacity. It's more likely that he's just kind of Mind of Steel'd.

I wouldn't say there's no way. All timelines are different, MiyuShirou had no idea who Rin was for example. We don't know how much Emiya Alter's early years mirror Shirou's.

Overall I like the Ishtar inclusion. She's not there to throw off the main story too much, but fits reasonably well. Plus kind of good to have someone there alongside Emiya Alter on his side of the story. Let's someone else have some reactions and there can be a bit of back and forth as a result. Plus it's just nice to have Ishtar used in a bit more serious tone. After Babylonia I'd say her role in FGO has been fairly comedic in nature. Though maybe I was just easily satisfied by her fight against Melt.

Showing Kiara off right away was probably a good move. There are some twists better saved for a mostly written medium like FGO. Could have hidden the therapist in theory but it would probably have just made it obvious if they tried to.
