Ok, I can connect to the internet but it doesn't show that it was connected =/

The connection icons in the Desktop are there but when I go to "Network Places" theres nothing...The "Local Area Connection" is still there but no other connections >.<

I'm using XP btw...so anyone knows the solution for this?

"Local Area Connection" probably is your internet connection. That's the way that it is for me.

Nope, it's not =/

I connect via DSL, the LAN is there so that the rest of the PCs can connect to the internet thrue me( I'm sharing the connection )

MAybe the lan is your dsl and it's your other nic that's messed up?
can u connect to the other pcs?

ok...it used to show both icons, the one for the LAN and the one for the DSL...but now it won't show either =/

I can't access anything in the "My Network Places" other than the lan...I even tried creating a new connection...and it just dissapeared after like 5 minutes @.@

and as far as I know, yes, I can connect to the other PCs, sometimes I take some files or vice-versa, but that was before I got this problem =/ ( didn't try yet, and everyones asleep now =.= )
