the episode is so wacky that you can't even imagine its the same as the episode before but it shows good development on it. Yuuko accepts Mashiro for she can't function well without Sorata but she can't accept Nanami for she will steal his onii-chan XD
NanamixSorata I love that scene at the stairs where Nanami falls and Sorata catches her. Cliche but still romantic. And Mashiro has complete trust on Sorata. I think Misaki getting drivers license is insane and the way they insert it in the episode is also insane and cuts off the feel on the episode. Even though it feels episodic or skipping a bit but its still fun.

I guess my 3/10 score is based on the fact that I just can't stand the Episode 1 style exaggerated emotion / faces...and yeah, the out of places service scenes are back.

Well I'm glad the little sister only stuck around for an episode though with the threat to return sooner or later.
I mean, yeah a good breather from the serious stuff. But at the same time it wasn't that much fun with the Yuuko-centric scenes. One of those frustrating little sisters that that for whatever reason is in love with her brother and picks a fight with every girl around him. If anything this episode increased my sympathy for Sorata. Aoyama's family might not support him, but at least we haven't confirmed them all as being insane. No wonder he's become a literal straight-man to everyone. His sister is immature, his mother is delusional, and his father over protective of his daughter....towards his son. I can't really blame him for not wanting to go home for the summer. Some good stuff though. As usual Mashiro is a pro at saying the perfect thing to create a misunderstanding. But also can see the calm even when lost. Confident as heck that Sorata will find her so no reason to flip out. Calm and determined. Of course hammering away at the Aoyama angle. Plenty of solid moments for her in this. Plus plenty of fanservice for an episode. Let's hope next week isn't simply a swimsuit episode though. Do like it when they balance the serious with the comedy.

Holy crap they totally went crazy with this episode By itself it would probably balanced out all the drama from episode 3, 4 & 6
Somehow I actually prefer Yuuko's misunderstanding freak outs compared to Nanami's initial Kansai-ben freak outs But where to begin ? 0) Banana Peel= The Gods too are fond this joke 1) How about Mashiro 'Alien' talk in from the fan, declaring hostilities with Yuuko before promptly breaking her will with that 'Sorata is my Owner' line ? 2) The puppet play with Sorata's mum telling Yuuko the story of her onii-chan secretly doing unspeakable things to girls in Tokyo... I swear, the mum sounded almost like Satomi Arai 3) Mashiro and Yuuko planting rice on their faces A little subtlety girls... 4) The sub-plot with Misaki getting her driver's license Last time I've check, those weren't suppose to be a day and night and day ago event Oh man there's just too much that deserves mentioning... I'm going to watch it again! Nanami definitely regain her 'cuteness' in this episode for being the only reliable girl, I believe this would continue to be her main plus point. Now this is the first time I've heard Ogura Yui using such a hyper voice P.S - Pool episode next week, depending on how they spin it, they might include Kanda's this and that to balance the light hearted stuff...

Very fun episode.
Yuuko is a funny imouto character. 3rd year in Middle School? lol. Thought it was funny how she kept talking to her stuffed animal, similar to Aoyama in a way. And also loved all the weird scene transition cuts that had her humming a tune and swing by on a rope. The misunderstandings had a nice twist to them with another character. Lots of reactions on Aoyama's side as well. Seems she progressed to the level of "passive assertiveness" in regards to Sorata, at least, she's distinctly aware of him now.

This episode seems to be a boke-tsukkomi routine, and I highly welcome such comedy in preparation towards (maybe) heartrending scenes (which might appear sometime in this season) - actually, I think I got what I liked a lot from this show, the funny parts that is.

hmm episode feels bit different than previous ones, maybe it's because it's some kind of filler episode(?). In any case it's still good, just different and it did show some advancement in terms of understanding between the characters, particularly Sorata,Mashiro and Nanami
Misaki's driving lesson's were hillarious , she's genius even with that, lol with that driving school poster " you're safe with us " but the imouto brocon cliche is getting really tiresome fast. OTH that Mashiro ^^, i think her double entendre really is intentional on her part, from the start, well she is a genius. way to put that brain in good use :P Quote:
but i think the driving school decided to just give her the license FOR THEIR OWN HEALTH. Last edited by garbage; 2012-11-20 at 05:52. |

I see it as a follow up to her desire to just push him onto the bed from last episode...0_0

Even as a Loli Basketball Player, a Hikikomori Detective, or a Cursed Japanese Doll, she always sounded so chill... (Coincidentally, those three characters are also from Dengeki Bunko titles)

Sorata's sister is cute and annoying... hahaha... is that really 3rd year middle school student?
Mashiro's plain comment is also WIN! That ABC plan is amazing... Misaki can do drift in the car!!! gotta try that as well Sorata's parents are also the best troll... but the best will be Aoyama's dere dere scene... finally Sorata and Aoyama got lovely scenes together... it's strange that Aoyama's starting to show her tsundere trait after coming to Sakurasou (she isn't showing anything before live in Sakurasou) |
