There's currently 197/198 chapters out. The first season comprised about 77 chapters. This season will most likely end around chapter 150, which means it'll cover about 73 chapters, with another 47 or so chapters left over. By the time season three starts there should be about 12 or more chapters added to that, and then whatever gets added while it's airing. So there should be juuuuuust enough for a season three. With season three most likely ending up wherever the manga currently is at that time.

Wrapped, even though I haven't started S2 yet. Really enjoyed S1 and I've been wanting to marathon through s2 since I did the same with the first.
Also more Hayashi da gawd, dat second track on the ost that came out yesterday /banderas Quote:
It's just that the eventual season 4 is going to be a long way off.... they'll probably have only 20 chapters up their sleeve after S3 finishes... a S4 would have to air like Spring 2018... or Winter 2018 if the manga was finishing up mid 2018.... |

There's definitely enough material for a full season, or at least, there will be... I'd rather they have waited a bit longer until they were comfortable adapting a full season, or at least a full cour, although with what's going on in the manga, I can see why exactly they're doing this (assuming it's true).

Welcome back, Haikyuu!! Another wonderful start. The OP is another blinder of animation and really sets up the mood for this season that focuses on the final match.
The first episode is purely introduction to get the followers back into the groove in showing us the distinctive characters of the Karasuno team. At the same time, we also start to see the Shiratorizawa players and introductions to their quirky characters as well. (Great to see that they really nailed the character for Tendo - my favourite character amongst the Shiratorizawa players XD). Once again, Production I.G. delivers on the production front. Continues with the excellent and smart adaptation of the manga as in previous 2 seasons. They added in a few bits that helped flesh out and build anticipation. This team really does the manga justice and then some. |

Haven't watched the ep yet but just wanted to say "Yeaaahhhhh! Haikyuu!!" Really like this series but sad that it's only 10 ep. Hope we get a 4th season after this!
Edit: Just saw the 1st ep...so hyped!!! It's going to be a nail-biting, on-the-edge-of-your-seat 3rd season! I just hope with all this build-up that they don't lose in the end. That will be sad. Hopefully this will set-up for the National as a season 4!
