I thought it was a pretty fun episode. I really like the OP and ED too, but mostly because I'm a band geek and such things entertain me.

Personally I felt there was much too much fanservice... and somehow the pace didn't feel quite right for me. I'll watch the next episode, but I might cut it off there. Reactions over in 2ch appear to be mixed as well... but I guess some people like it. I do hope it succeeds however, as I'd like to see more anime distributed in this manner in the future :)

First episode looked to be really good from the raws. Better than I expected. The OP was interesting... Too repetitive, I think. It had a good song, at least.
The ED was very Lucky Star-esque, with the schitzophrenic feel followed by a collective melodic section. I liked the ED more.

It is usually a guy character that receives such hits in anime. This is quite an interesting change of pace.

A yet another fanservicey comedy added to my list permanently. I swear I haven't watched this many fanservice anime all at once. It's like 4 or 5 for me, if there isn't another being subbed.

It was fanservicey, but in a genuinely comedic and oddly acceptable way, I thought. Whereas in Kanokon and To-Love-Ru the fanservice is all part and parcel with the main character (and by extension, the audience) getting his sexual thrills, the boobage and whatnot here really just add to lunacy of the show, with jokes like "oops wrong costume change" or the cosplay in the water fight being genuinely funny rather than offensive.

Sure, fanservic eis fanservice but this show was actually quite funny. Which is cool because I was expecting to hate it after I saw all the fanservice comments in this thread.

I actually have decently high considerations for fanservice shows this season, except I still think the best one of the lost was back in summer 2007's Umisho.

As for the ED, wow... just wow. It's like a love letter to all the hardcore gamers like me! The chiptunes (using old game peeps and bloops to make music) + the bullet hell Danmaku. Can't get nerdier than that.

Though I don't think I counted 6 panty shots in here... I got the one in the preview, maybe the one when the wind was blowing right at the end, and possibly Penguin in her day one uniform.

Very fast paced and nunsensical, but that's what a comedy is supposed to be.

ED - Same opinion as OP... Err... That was really fast paced... The main thing that stands out... is the voice acting. It doesn't fit... There are problems with more than one character, but Sakura's fits the least... As for actual anime... Well, some of it worked decently, but some jokes failed to be funny. I was definitely surprised when Sakura started coughing up blood like that though. Sebastian in a school swimsuit was pretty funny too. And a new character arrives at the end of the episode. Seriously fast-moving anime... Saw her in the manga, but her name... don't know best way to romanize it. Maybe next week. Sakura is pretty... wow... Wears her "pajamas" to school, freely throws around her otaku-ness at everyone, tries to change into another outfit only to get naked, has the ability to act like what she cosplays. And kind of on the Yuri side of things. First impressions, it's only 14 minutes anyways and the comedy/fanservice isn't that bad to me, so I'll continue watching this thing. Worth a few laughs too. Personally, it would have been nice to make it 24 minutes, so they could slow stuff down, but it's not possible. Spoiler for ep.1: So basically, Sakura Nankyoku is a Konata-like character but with more character and boobs First episode start off with her sister knocking on her door to call her since she'll be late for her first school appearance. Then she comes wearing a school mizu+neko-mimi(ultimate WIN ) without her realizing that she's actually wearing the wrong uniform mistaking her lower uniform for her pajamas? She was then placed besides Etorofu's seat, suddenly calling her Takenoku-chan (take note of the frame where Sakura received a devastating blow from Etorofu, I think I just saw AzuDa ref there ). Apparently, this Takenoku-chan person is a mahou shoujo that henshins into a mahoushoujowearingsailorfukuschoolmizuwith[del]nekomimi[/del]catstail outfit and happens to be her favorite show. Then afterwards led to a match between the two for the Seto kai position. You'll love Sakura's proposition for the new official school uniform OP&ED: I think it's just okay. In any case, the show started great, imo. With some fanservice shots and anime/show references, it's pretty good. Looking forward to the next episodes. Last edited by Utau; 2008-04-19 at 02:33.
