I have a theory though that Edel Raid Reaction forms are dependent on the Pledger... Like Ren is at least 517 Years old (500 years of being kept in the box at least)... her form back then may have been different but still loosely fixed on DNA, since they are Organic/Biological/Living Unison Devices... Oh Crack... Quote:
~RICHAAAAAARRRRRDDDDDD~ ~ERRRRIIIIIKKKAAAAAA~ *Runs away from Deimos, Prince Olric and the Brahmins* I'm not called Saint X for nothing *fizzles* - A dedicated warrior hell bent on revenge and retribution can focus with a sword that basically climaxes during use. She's like being done AKA HAVING SEX with by her user... *runs from morality mob* Quote:
- Must... nab... Takius's... Magic... Rod... Zephyr pwns Saint X with Meteor Storm *nods* But i still remember the naming sham they did... *torches GMA TV Station* - NO FLUID EXCHANGE!!! - Nice Boat is nothing compared to Better Ship if you catch my analogy lol - She's like being done AKA HAVING SEX with by her user... *runs faster* - We can/WE like to see it... but what about HIM? - A is the most common evidence though... but i prefer A and C... *Saint X has plans for Kyla to 'Teach' Vivio* - I have Dibs on Charlo until someone gives me a good deal... Same goes for Viro - We can finally do just justice to her by showing her new Edel Raid Reaction form- too bad in the anime she died upon conversion. *Sees GEASS* *Youtubes the OP* I WILL SUBMIT Saint X will be back at work

That said I do think a UD might be able to alter spells that are within their area of expertise given time and proper training, but it’s not some innate skill they’d need to learn to do it just like a human mage would. Quote:

There seems to be a sort of sweet spot for them where the added versatility is worth the hit to mana, but she seems to be above that bell curve into a region where the it's better for the mage to just keep the power and use it themselves as they'll do better then trying to split it two ways. That said the Familiars don't seem to age like mages so as one got older they might become more variable again to compensate for psychical weakness, but again that's not really an issue here. Quote:

Short reply before I'm of to the movies. Bigger one when I get back.

Familiars may be a good point for investigations. We don't know how much of a hit familiars have on a mages mana. Obviously it is a noticable amount (otherwise Arf would have had no reason to go loli and minimize use) but we don't know exactly how much. |

I have the feeling today will be the usual slow days for me... Curse my inability to be on when almost everyone else is!
*cough* I'm, as usual, too lazy to make a backlog. But I did remember hearing Princess Maker. Didn't know any but the 2nd one had any sort of translations done... Although the 2nd one has some ero bits in it I believe... If you get the original version. The one that would've came to the states is editted. I've actually finished a draft on that dragon girl Keroko made me want to make Keep in mind: This is all a work in progress. Anything can change before I finalize it. Heck, I may never finalize it so >.> Spoiler for Experiment Dragon Subject-Forty Seven:
Also pretty finalized on Rune... When I get my computer back, or maybe one day when I'm feeling up to it, I'll think of fixing the 'spoiler' I made in Fanfic and show it here with her

More so since anything but the most trivial of cases will demand many specialties and significant numbers of people. Acutally combat prowess could arguably be one of the least important things for an Enforcer at least as I see them. You can be the most badass mage ever but it won’t mean shit if you can’t find your targets or prove they’ve done anything wrong. Besides if the threat is large the armed forces are going to take over and deal with it. So you’d be working smaller scale stuff the majority of the time most likely. Probably mostly larger scale, but still fairly mundane, criminal activates and large parts of that are going to be investigations, actual combat is probably unlikely to occur much. I also bet you’ll work under a much tighter leash since you’ll likely be dealing with TSAB citizens, AKA people that can sue or riot if you over step out of line. The army might be allowed to just bust down doors and detain people nearly at will when occupying someplace or working overseas, but an Enforcer is unlikely to have that privilege. They’d need to deal with such nuisances as warrants, evidence, and probable cause. Most criminals aren't going to be so obliging as to run wild in the streets blasting off spells or siccing their minions on the citizenry, you're going to actually have to prove they did something before you can go after them. Property damage and use of force will also probably be issues. We may joke about destroying stuff for fun and "maximum power!" and such, but that kind of shit would likely be considered totally unacceptable in this area. You can’t beat the piss out of the wrong guy here and then go “opps” or claim “fog of war” or blow up a block of houses in a crossfire and just write it off as "inevitable collateral damage" or some such. The skill set for police and military work are frankly rather wildly divergent while they have some overlap it's not allot and has gotten less so as modern policing has evolved. Running an Air Force squadron really isn’t going to teach you jack about say interrogation and interview techniques (and just beating people that are probably citizens is right out…), gathering evidence, building informant networks, or even how to just talk to be people to get information. Just like being good with a gun is a very minor part of being a police officer or investigator being a high powered mage is probably a very minor part of being an Enforcer. This would be a very serious adjustment and not be any kind of simple transfer in my opinion. Acutally it would likely involve allot of heavy and intense retraining with extensive class time, exams, probationary periods, etc it could easily take years. IMO this sort of thing is probably how Fate failed her exam twice even at that time her combat prowess was clearly in the very upper most range and her managing to fumble a test based purely on that twice seems very unlikely; however given her rather stunted childhood it’s entirely possible or even likely IMO that while her combat performance was fine her interpersonal and investigative skills were deemed lacking and so she was denied the position. For much the same reason I very much doubt an Armed Forces officer of any sort could just go “Hey I wanna be an Enforcer!” and they’ll just hand them a uniform and a mission. At best I can maybe see Fate being able to pull some strings to streamline her training and get her assigned to her as an “assistant” and then basiclly just sending her off on her own with some of her other subordinates allot of the time. Of course that would be bending the rules pretty badly and showing rampant favoritism, but that’s not really stopped anyone in the TSAB or the Aces before… Of course if Keroko then ends up overstepping her bonds or really screws the pooch on something while working "Solo" then Fate’s head is probably on the chopping block. [Eye catch] This Rambling Diatribe On Police Work brought to you by minor writers block on the Felix/Vita TK is working on. [/Eye catch] Last edited by Tk3997; 2007-12-20 at 16:46. |
