I think K-on and Lucky Star, and Geijutsuka are the best moe animes i've seen. And also Azumanga Daiou. So, I'll never complain about having more of it.
wow, if asian kung-fu is doing the opening, then the style of the girls' songs are going to be more rockish than before. Maybe they're being influenced by Sawako-sensei's band. They're going to turn into a Moe Metal band, lol. |

I can't wait for Season 2. I want to see more Mio and Azu-nyan in season 2. Also, I want the art style to stay the same. I'm hoping for some more addicting songs, but I'm sure they'll deliver in that regard. I also want them to perform at more events, similar to what they did during the live house special.

Mio would probably tolerate that as its not so in your face etc and there'd still be much room for guitar solos, keyboard work etc If Asuza is a rocker, she'd probably accept the change in style pretty quickly for its harder riffs and more interesting guitar work, as would Sawako for the change from 'fluffy girly stuff'. It'd probably be the most half way metal between the old style and sawakano's seemingly extreme metal

It wouldn't be much of a shift to nudge them to '80s rock. The lyrics aren't that different and Azusa could go nuts on guitar. Mio couldn't say no to the bass riffs.

Actually, you say that about bass riffs, but the bass line is pretty good for the OP,especially the first version. Hhhi64 (IIRC) version on youtube is very good. You're right too, several of the more famous tracks without the lyrics, purely as instrumentals, are much closer to various forms of rock, than they are to pop. Also, it'd suit them growing up and developing, to move away from a more poppy, flowery sound. Either way, if there's development into more guitar orientated genres than pop, I'm happy

K-on covering Motley Crue' Girls!Girls!Girls! would be hilarious (and ironic considering some members of the group!)
They definately could go more rock in the second season to reflect influences and growing up
