No Naruto but they had a noob dude fill that role in this chapter.
I mean really, what a tool. I know we have that whole caring for comrades stuff but this is war and war with ninjas with superpowers, you gotta excrise alot more caution than what that guy did Does not bode well for the home team.....would the alliance be considered the home team? ...ah to hell with it, GO MADARA!

Sakura's shown no use or training in genjutsu (besides breaking out of basic genjutsu which any intelligent nin can do). Even if she did, what makes her a better candidate than say, Kakashi, who has Sharingan and depicted several times to be extremely skilled when it comes to genjutsu? Omoi's an excessive worrier and a pessimist (like Shikamaru)--those are the guys that nearly always live, unless they're real jerkasses...then they're usually the first to die. Omoi's more the likeable sort though. Over-confident guys like the sensor on the other hand...

Being a good chakra controller also means you could master Genjutsu because they need to be really good at it. That's why Kakashi thought that.

-I don't think teaching Failkura any good genjutsu is a smart idea. Knowing her, she'd end up using them on her own allies. Hell, the poisoned kunai she prepared to kill Sasuke with ended up poisoning Naruto of all people instead. Seriously, nobody give this girl anything sharper than a pair of plastic scissors, you'll lose less able bodied men that way.

oh wow i didnt even see the kabuto anko scene, i think my brain intentionally glossed over it
poor anko, but well its to be expected right at least kishi isnt wasting time like we expected i think he has a nice knack for writing war, i wonder what his inspiration is, like maybe a family member was a war veteran and hahah to everyone bitching about kishi being la\y to make new characters! he makes them and kills them in 3 panels! wooottt fodder death!

I think as many people as possible should die during this war, unlike the other wars we have had in the other 'Big Two' where only 1 or 2 people die. It makes it unrealistic. I'll gladly accept a couple thousand fodder characters instead of an apparently immortal world where no one can die, including the fodder characters.

-I wouldn't call him sexist...yet. After all, he allowed 2 specific women to rule over 2 of the 5 great ninja villages. So at least he's not making them into kitchen, domestic abuse victims. But then you have things in the past where Kurenai's father tells her to live so she can birth a grandchild. Smooth .
-You know what, I change my mind. F*** you Kishimoto and the horse/armadillo you're riding on at the moment. Take a lesson from MAR (Dorothy in particular) and then come try to salvage some dignity.

Wow! Awesome start!
First confirmed Casualty: Spoiler:
Byukagan's are everywhere! One with the Ambush squad(Hoheto), one with the advanced recon squad(Tokuma), two with 2nd Division(Neji/Hinata), one in 1st Division...?(Hiashi maybe?), one with akatsuki(zombie Hizashi), and one in the sensor squad(Ao). Awesome matchups too! I admit, I was not a Kankuro fan before this chapter, but now I am. He's finally showing some leadership and confidence. Can't wait for his fight with Sasori and Sasori's snide reaction to seeing his body being used by someone who did not defeat him. Also looking forward to Omoi vs Shin and Sai vs Sasori! Should be incredible! |

sai's brother returning, eh? this should be interesting. i'm so looking forward to the possible azuma versus shikamaru, neji versus his dad and maybe even dan versus tsunade. i wonder if kabuto also resurrected jiraiya. naruto versus jiraiya, that would be fun!

looking at how those ressurectet folks talk ... I wonder if a genjutsu will be needed at all to get rid of the zombies... It was made pretty clear that kabuto's powered up version is more risky to use - who knows, with so many summons maybe this ends with some of them turning on kabuto cause he overextended himself? ... and then madara standing next to him as the zombies kinda eat him pointing out " you know, I knew this was gonna happen, but thx for the distraction squad anyways. bye."
