Powerful episode this week, I'm glad that in the end Narukami did make the right decision.
Seeing this episode makes me wish the whole series has spent abit more on the mystery aspect, I realized it's not possible of course but still it would be nice. Maybe Persona 5 would do better in that? Assuming it comes out of course EDIT: Alright! With Judgement onboard, it's time to bring out Lucifer !

You guys know what's the best part? In the game, we also had to go through the same thing of piecing together the clues and picking out the true killer from a list of EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER that appeared in the game. Yea.
So it's honestly fun that the animation team is following in spirit and giving you guys a week to figure out this. Kudos to them. |

And that was a bit annoying since imho we were grasping at straws at that point. There are so few hints given that it takes the observational powers of someone like Naoto to actually get to the actual culprit. Out of the top of my head I can only think of a single occasion where the true culprit strongly gave him or herself away and even then it was pretty easy to gloss over. It was even easier in the anime where I noticed that there was no extra emphasis placed on that particular line. However I'll have to take my hat off to the anime team on that one since the game also didn't give any extra emphasis to that smoking gun.

Nanako's dead-alive condition was kinda nerve racking.
There sure was a lot of tension.. So he was kinda seeing what will happen. Guess his intentions weren't bad, but road to hell is also paved with good intentions. Well, at least things ended well for now.

I loved how the game even allowed you to pick Nanako (it then nicely told you you were an idiot for even considering that option)

My guess is still going to be my first guess way back during the beginning. I still think it is the foolish looking sidekick, Adachi Tooru. The guy that acts the most foolish is usually the most suspicious. As for motivation, I have no idea, since he hasn't been fleshed out very much.
I don't think it is Doujima Ryoutarou simply because it would be unlikely for him to try to kill his own daughter. The only other suspect would be Kuma, since he is still a mystery. However, considering how much he cares for Nanako, I doubt it would be him either. Of course, the most rediculous choice would be Aika. She can be anywhere at anytime and works at the speed of light. I bet you could probably order a beef bowl in the TV world and she'll deliver it to you right away!

So someone on the tvtropes thread for this anime has come up with a pretty interesting theory on why/how Nanako revived, end game spoilers though so anime only watchers should avoid (and if the mods want me to remove it I shall).
Spoiler for again, end game spoilers are involved in this theory:
I have to admit that the fact that Nanako only revived when Teddie was leaving makes that theory look less likely here in the anime so this would make a lot of sense.

if it's not ryo then it would be yuu ater ego but it wouldn't make much sense. At first I might of thought it would be Ryo partner except, I think it would be too obvious and it wouldn't be much of a twist. I can only piece the clue to Ryo. That episode pointed it out that that guy had an affair with a news anchor so maybe that was Ryo's wife which would explain why they didn't show her face in the picture, but that still leave the question of why he would kill Nanako. The only reason I could think is ...Nanako isn't really his daughter and was born from the affair. Ouch, I think that's too much of a plot twist.
