I'm trying to make a logical approach here: Kazuma has imprints on how to fight so he obviously knows how to use a gun. However, the problem lies with Saito. Not only is he a teenager, he's a teenager in Japan; one of the most gun absent countries due to strict gun control. My original plan was as Senpai said - He shoots the gun and then, when it runs out of ammo, he chucks it at whoever he's aiming at because he never learned how to reload.

Reading that made me think that Saito would be the CEO of Tediore Corp in Borderlands, Borderlands 2 specifically, since Tediore guns are meant to be thrown once outta bullets
But I'm kinda lost on the baddies here, Madoka against Tabane? How do they even find her lab in the first place?

@ Stratos
I'm not certain either, sorry, it might be me who's messed up. -------------- As for the mention of Murikans, I think it's probably typical issue of MURIKA ARE SELFISH, GREEDY COUNTRY. I wish I'm kidding, but Japanese writer liked that idea. Gate is one of the worst offender

More liberties to take then. Thing is, in Athena the Gospel gets captured TWICE. First it was "captured" after the CCs beat it, second is by another group that would attack the base it's kept in, after Madoka gets driven away.
I'd think that the US would at least send special forces to recover it... by force.

Mine paint America in a lot more neutral light, more or less. They also indebted to I.S.A. (especially ichika) for saving Gospel twice.
In V6 Arc, Ichika did a dynamic entry on PT Raiders... from orbit

And I distinctly remember two years ago: Military is NOT stupid, NOT static. They knew I.S., they always have theory how to fight it even if Tabane claimed it's impossible to win. The 'fight' in V6 against Madoka is incredibly stupid tho. Peashooter and T-shirt BDU, wtf Izuru. As hax as she is, she's no Chifuyu level.

Given that the suit powers you up to the point that you can fight an IS, its kinda hard to buy it can be beaten by a blowtorch.
Ah well, at least the standing male armies aren't shown as "Losing horribly in three days" like the students claim I can imagine a few power tripping authors to use this as "justification" for making male OC's.

Maybe the past publishers were well aware of Izuru's writing tendencies. That's why they wanted to restrict him to IS. As of now he's just churning out plot after plot related depowerization of IS. I think he should've finished fleshing it out first. Or at least has it flesh out during fight with non-IS, which hopefully he does in Vol. 8. Senseless curbstomping each other is not the answer @_@

That, or government want people to believe that.
Misleading propaganda, they say. I.S. prevent all out war from breaking up, after all. --- Here's my analysis > I.S. are fast, faster than jet at higher altitude > I.S. are heavily protected, probably more than a tank. > I.S. carry something like a platoon of infantry can But they are not invincible Inside a corridor their speed meant nothing, their durability will soon wither under heavy fire from antitank weaponry. It's only way to win is to butcher the enemy as soon as possible. Assuming it CAN, being trapped in a corridor and all. Not to mention of possibility of using I.S. technology in other wargear, I.S. frame and weaponry aren't made of magic after all, just powered by one. So yeah, I've said something like this since the first day.

One more
I.S. are CHEAP They're expensive to build, but the only thing you need is a healthy skilled pilot and it's all go. In comparison you need anywhere from USD 2.000-15.000 to maintain a jet fighter per flight hour operation. 25.000-1.500.000 per missile to shot the enemy with. And something like crew of 10-20 to do the job.
