I loved that Accelerator Flashback. J.C. staff made me happy. That was great.
Touma was great this episode. I love seeing interactions between Touma and Mikoto. They are hillarious. Otherwise, Kuroko did her part perfectly. They did not overplay her role in that part like I had originally feared. The part with Kuroko and Mikoto's friends was similarly well done, with Uiharu being a pervert (imagining what Mikoto must have done because she might have been with her "boyfriend" and had been away all night for multiple nights... lol) The flashback and the clone scene made me happy. This makes me hopeful. The episode felt really short for some reason. I'm not sure if this was a new ending or a one-time special ending with a new ending coming soon... there were no pictures with the ending... so... (I'm not sure yet) (it might be like episode 5, but more chill). The PV shows more Touma next episode. Um... I rate the episode a 10/10. It wasn't like episodes 8-10, but... Spoiler for comparison from Manga:
I missed the beginning before the opening, so I will edit this comment at 8:30'ish after seeing that. Otherwise, this was a good episode. There was less action than before, but that of course was expected. We can't have Mikoto tiring out. The last part I feel like commenting on was Mikoto in this episode. She finally cracked under the pressure. What she said to her clone was pretty bad... She feels guilty now... Well... yeah... that's what moments of weakness do for you... they make you guilty and sad. once again: 10/10. It exceeded my expectations from what I thought the adaptation would be like. |

Right, so having seen the episode... It felt quite short to be honest, but it feels good nevertheless. With Accelerator's flashback, I think it'll be clear in time on how the representation of what is coming up next will be - and it'll feel different from what we've seen before back in Index S1. It leaves a lot to wonder on what direction it'll take, and will definitely take the space in my thinking list before I can wonder what's going to follow after the current arc.
That said....... NEXT.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHH~~~~ TOUMA IS HERE!!!! WOOOOT <3
Mikoto x Touma finally begins!!! x) Well including Misaka Imouto x Touma > > Also the way it was done in railgun was way better than Index version, but that might be because Index was animated very long time ago. The Imagine Breaker will break the despair that Mikoto has!!! |

Okay so they added part of the flashback there... I wonder if they'll show the rest later. I hope so.
Otherwise everything was adapted perfectly and it was funny and also sad in the latter half but it was good. I liked how they crept in the ending and all that, and I liked the song too, it fit well. I guess I'm just waiting for next week and the week after.

Basicly new rendition of what they covered in first season of Index. Mikoto's little bubble didn't hold for long. Wondering how much will they redo from first season. Not that I complain I definetely prefer how railgun depicts things. Accelerator is complete delusional jerkass. Can't wait to see him getting stomped.
Imouto's VA does marvelous job. Does anyone know if current director worked on first Index season? |

finger?
You might as well say it's from Railgun team, not Index team. JC still gets overall credit. In this episode, Mikoto only uses her hair to attack people. Without being detected, she can read the database from the phone booth. She should be able to do same thing to the vending machine. Since the vending machine is based on digital circuit, Mikoto should have to problem to get items without triggering any alarm.
