I don't think Fujimoto is the least bit worried about how to end the series |

The situation is different here. He's writing for the most popular shounen magazine, one quick to axe its series. Killing off popular characters one after another (IIRC Power came first in the popularity poll) could make rankings/sales tank and precipitate the series' end. I trust his writing skills though, and I think he has gathered a dedicated enough fanbase to keep the series afloat.

Currently this series hasn't even begun to fall, much less bottom out for several consecutive weeks. It's way too soon to be worrying about being cancelled here. |

CSM can pretty much do whatever it wants, with so many series dead there is no way Jump gonna axe his even if he kills off the most popular character.
Still, that chapter hurt, man, Pochi even said in his heart, don't open the door...

Yeah, and Fujimoto’s editor practically gave him free reign to do whatever he wants. No way is this getting cancelled especially with how well it’s been doing. As for this not being similar to other WSJ manga, it’s never been since day 1, come on.

Future devil has his own agenda. He used misleading words to push Aki to go to Makima. It's possible he sent a fake vision to Aki for that same purpose. Or he just lied when he said the future Aki saw couldn't be changed.

Even with the author's past work, I personally think Chainsawman is a much different sort of story and will play out differently. I have my doubts that these "deaths" are the be-all-end-all. Power could definitely come back, since "she" was a devil, but what form she'll take is definitely up to debate.
Aki, probably not. But the shark devil, among others, even the gun devil (defeated by Makima), will probably show up again, I'd reckon. It's probably going to be boring for a while, however. It's pretty much the Denji Makima show... not much to work with, honestly. Not that it's a bad thing, but it seems narratively likely that this isn't the start of a new status quo.
