Not a bad start. Figured it was the corpse god who reincarnated since he mentioned his spell going off, and it was the necromancer's spell that looked complicated. Not sure what's going on with him being sent to modern day world, but I do like fantasy powers being brought into the normal world. I'm sure there'll be other magic users to impede him, since the initial Polka was most likely targeted for this very reason, so I'll be looking forward to the next episode, though it's possible that this series will lose steam for me in the coming episodes.

So it really was a church bad situation and MC is a good guy who can't stand the thought of children suffering. Thinking back on it, I don't think we saw him kill any civilians, only soldiers. Which is fair.

First of all, these soldiers may not be necessarily part of church. They could be part of state army.
Second there is gap of centuries or two between his revenge and battle with hero. Corpse God probably still had lot of infamy from his rampage, but Calamity Crusher and his comrades invaded Corpse Gods mine because his lair kept growing until it's undead denizens spilled out and presumably did treaten lives of civilians. There may be some misunderstandings, but CG did pick fight with CC so he can reincarnate, don't forget that.

monotone: "oh no. they cut spicy parts. how terrible..."
In all seriousness, this fun episode and we are getting some early preview on some crazy character that might actually rival Corpse God... at least in this world wher magic is limited. I also love that ending more and more. Shark-kun and Misaki are adorable duo.

I still don't like her design (except her boobs) but I'm sold on Misaki now. She's a lot of fun.
The episode was a bit slow but introduced characters that are probably going to be important. Corpse God mentioning there are a lot of similarities between his world and Earth and that whales are legendary animals that went extinct in his world made me think he might be from the very distant future instead of another world.

How did you conclude they are corrupt? I mean it's possible but I don't think we got any evedince so far.
Also Lemmings is just first of quite number of troublemakers we seen, so implying he is only one who can face Corpse God is wishfull thinking.

So, ep.4 is the end of vol 1.
4 eps per volume I guess? So I assume the first season will end with vol.3, which is the real intro of the over reaching plot. Quote:
As in, Narita always give everyone their own plot threads in his work. Also, best not over rate Corpse Temple's capabilities. |

So the shark is actually Polka. Quite funny it appears he'll be paired up with Misaki given their brief but intense history.

That's not saying humans can't be a threat to Corpse God, since he is severely weakened in this world. It seems like he was really lucky Misaki led him to that room.
