Episode 7 is probably about Cloe's fate gathering from ep 8.

According to the novel, a female shepherb is a rare thing because of the nature of the job where one is required to spend many part of the day or week alone in the company of the sheep and dog, keeping them in line and at the risk of attacks by wolves. A female just isn't up to the job no matter how you look at it unless she is very good.

But when a female is good at this job, controling the sheeps and keeping wolves at bay, she risk being branded as a witch and being outcasted. So no sensible woman would take this job up in the middle ages.

@above: Maybe a spoiler? That could be explained in a future episode, after all.

Spoiler for ep9 preview summary:

Spoiler for thought:

In case it's still confusing, just to confirm that it's 13 episodes in total, 12 of which will air on TV (basically 6 episodes for each light novel).

To Deathkillz's point, it's not a censorship thing, it's just a DVD bonus episode that happens to be in the middle of the series instead of tacked on to the end. And the other thing is, because they started airing the show on January 9th, the timeslot wouldn't allow for a 13th episode unless it over-ran into the spring season (April 2nd). So this was all definitely the intention from the very start.

And finally, for the curious, the DVD in question is DVD 3, and it'll be released on May 30th.

Serenade isn't the Kanji "使い" read as "tsuKai" which is handler or trainer or user depending of what is in the front. Like if it was "Mahoutsukai" It will be magic user but it is used for magician wizard or witch. I think this time it means Sheep handler or trainer. that is the fun of Japanese being translated to english! Ten no tsukai is another way to say angel. Maybe you just wrote that in jest.

Ahh medieval superstitions, gotta love em. That one is almost as good as the one where you toss the woman in a lake, if she floats shes a witch, if she sinks (and probably drown!) shes normal.

A calm episode. Lawrance is really learning. He knows a way to make fun of Horo now. I really want to see Horo's face when Lawrance deliberately talking about how delicious honey-marinated peaches are.

And I love people who can only know of the most basic, clichéd of examples with which to prove a point. :l

...Not really.

And for Horo to scare off the wolves, she'd probably have to do something that stands out, like howling, transforming, talking. Don't want church people hunting them again, after all.

You're right there.
The website tends to have a mind of it's own at times, though I think they will fix the site in a few days, like last time. Though last time, the mistake was a complete title change...

Though really who is going to see them out there anyways? If they get this girl off the road so they can get going it's fine. If its a night attack unlikely anyone will differentiate her howl from all the other wolves.

Pretty isolated until they get to a city and then you won't need protection anyways. Of course if they have to bring the girl along then they will need to make use of her since being there limits Horo.

But yeah can understand Horo's dislike of the situation. No one likes being near a major enemy.

Thanks for that and I meant 1-6 + 8-13 in the post you quoted from me. May 30th isn't too bad a wait I guess.

Initial thoughts on ep 7
Spoiler:

So far, I haven't been as impressed by this episode as I have been by others. Here's hoping that I have a more favorable opinion once I understand what they're saying.

Whoa so i just want to clarify from what iv been reading. Episode will not air because its not important to the overall plot of the story but will be on the DVD as an extra? So basically we skipping 7 and moving right along to episode 8?
