Slayers Revolution {4th Season}
FUNimation have now announced the license for Slayers Revolution. Previously we had received a C&D from FUNimation Entertainment (acting on the behalf of the Japanese IP owners, Enoki Films) so we didn't list fansubs here on AnimeSuki
Since the show is licensed, the following posts are not allowed in this thread.
You still are allowed to discuss the anime, that has not changed but please remember to limit the discussion to the story. End of edit by Mod (xris) According to this Japanese blog, Slayers will be getting a new TV anime adaptation. The anime was announced in the April 2008 issue of the young men's light novel magazine Dragon Magazine (which will be officially released on 29/2/2008). Slayers (スレイヤーズ) is a boy's light novel series that's published under the shounen light novel label Fujimi Fantasia Bunko, and serialized in the young men's light novel magazine Dragon Magazine. There is a rumour saying that there will be a new anime adaptation of The Slayers.
Can someone please provide solid evidence and confirmation? I couldn't wait to see.. (The same thing should go for Slayers' lovers.)

As much as I love the Slayers, it's a classic 90s show and I wonder how the younger generation will find it?
New Slayers series, we've been told of season 4 ever since Try finished, but has yet to materialise. If it did materialise though, would be great! |

There is a great amount of material left from the novels, such as Gourry acquiring a new sword and fighting against Ruby-Eye Shabranigdu's other followers. I wouldn't mind another season since I've started watching Slayers again just a few weeks ago.

I wouldn't worry about Megumi Hayashibara really. She was willing to sing for the 10 year memorial just last year, she is still decently busy (though not as insanely much as in the 90's), and Lina Inverse as a character has plenty of legs.
As for the plot itself, I hope it's a mixture of the original and the canon novel plotline. Either way, this is basically the best anime announcement I've ever heard really. I'm anxious for the teaser/trailer now. |

This is probably the best news for me on anime (I've been in love with Slayers since age 4 hehe), i just saw the official announcement today on DRAGON-MAGAZINE feb 29 edition.
It was annouced the novel スレイヤーズ will be made into animation again, however it didn't say if it is remake or new story line. But nevertheless!!!! This is probably the best thing happened after the latest Octopus OVA hehe.. Lina's voice will still be Megumi

Well that certain is to my liking, season 4!!! Though i'm hoping for it to be more like season 1 and 2. 3 is in the shade comparing to the first two. However the premium that came in the end was quite fun... Lina Inverse's coming back!!!
