People, don't get too annoyed with Chizuru's character. Yes, she does act like a mutt in heat, but realize that on the basest level, she is by nature a fox, an ANIMAL. In their world, you don't ask people out to dinner or anything. If you want romance, you express a desire to be the other's mate, and that certainly is what she's doing. Just be glad she's not marking to better advertise her desire.
As for the line about keys, did anyone else think of Shugo Chara(at least the manga)? |

Don't think I can give the being a fox thing as a complete excuse for her. People are animals after all. Would expect getting to that point fox youkai would have some self-control. People are supposed to be at a higher level than our primate counterparts. Then is it a stretch for a fox youkai who is also sentient to have some control over herself? Of course then you wouldn't have the insane situations that follow. But it's not like we have her brother going to that extreme after girls. Sure it's clear who he likes, but hasn't pushed it that far. But Chizuru is who she is.
Still have issues with Kouta. Voice really doesn't work in this situation. Nothing on the VA herself, but just sounds too much like a girl here. Anyways leave your relatives out of it. Something about that guy just annoys me. Will give him its a crazy situation to be in.

All that screaming makes Kouta look "gay" or so to speak but I guess it can't be helped if someone voicing was a female . So many fanservice this episode have. Kouta's reputation is getting more and more....uh...complicated.
Spoiler for Favorite scene:

Humans are actually one of the only (if not the only, not sure) mammals where the females are always in heat. Swollen and sensitive breasts, pheromones, et cetera, humans have the only females that desire sex and give off the physical signals that indicate that they're ready for mating all the time. Most mammals are only willing to mate when they're fertile and the males are only attracted to the females in such times. Biologically speaking, we're the most consistently sex-crazed mammals there are.
So she is in heat, because humans are always in heat. That's how it works. |

Ep 2
I usually make a concerted effort not to do this, and give a show as many chances as possible, but... DROPPED! That wasn't just terrible. That was unbearable. It amazed me that a series could pack so much crap into a single episode. I sometimes wonder what goes through the minds of the writer/s as they put this together. I mean, do they know what they're doing? Is their intention to make something as LCD as possible, or do they somehow think they're writing something that's interesting or entertaining, or, hell, even worse, thought-provoking and meaningful? I mean, what compels a person to sit down and write something like this, something so mindless and completely devoid of anything respectable and then put their name to it for the world to see. And what the hell compels an anime studio to put significant money into producing a series based on that script, for thousands, or even millions, of people to see? Well, obviously money is the answer, but do titles like this even sell. I can see why something like Rosario + Vampire would be a money spinner, and hell, I can see why people would enjoy it, for all its flaws. But isn't there a certain point at which something becomes so mindless, and so uninspired that producers would have to be completely out of their mind to think it'd turn a dollar? If there was such a point, certainly Kanokon has completely passed it. Is it really so naive for me to think that once a title is as terrible as this, there's no longer any incentive to make it? Well, I guess the fact that Kanokon exists, the answer is "yes". ...For a fanservice anime, it's not even well animated.

this series features some extreme ecchi, thats not new, it's been done a million times and it probably sells as no one is stupid enough to make something like that if the others failed. and you're crazy if you think anyone at the production staff didn't consider this a 'fanservice anime' from the very begining. that's just what this is and that's what it was advertised to be... you have to be blind to not get it from the trailer, of even the site.. this is based, the same as all other series based on ecchi (such as girls bravo, umisho, green green, maburaho etc) on the fact that if theres enough ecchi even light comedy will keep viewers. as long as people like the characters(be it because of their design or "actions") they will keep watching the anime to see what happens.. in many cases the fact its not all out hentai makes it more appealing to people.. so what ecchi series try to do is find the point in which the service is at it's max. here(and in girls bravo s2) they are pushing it pretty far, but it's nothing that special so that it's that different from all other ecchi... |

I don't know what to be more disturbed by - that I laughed out loud at the two episodes, or that soft porn ecchi programmes like Kanokon are aired on Saturday mornings.

Well, maybe not to the point I am dropping this right off but it is getting there...(1 more chance...just 1 more...). I think the point is that there is good ecchi and there is bad ecchi. Even with a poor storyline sometimes I even watch just for the service (*cough rosario*) but when not even the service is done in a way that is enjoyable ie forcefull raping of a character that is a total turn off, then it becomes a problem than not ever service can save a series.

Shota + Loli = win! Nozomu ftw! lol
I might just see this through the end, if only to see if Nozomu gets him off Chizuru's evil clutches. From what's shown so far, unlike her rival she isn't nearly so forceful as raping him in open public. Only times she's possessive is in response to Chizuru's over the top actions, and I hope to see that she does succeed in the end. Meh, one can always dream no? If it isn't a non-definitive ending (which it most probably will be), Chizuru looks to be still the main heroine. Oh well, it's only one cour right? Might be the 'bad' show I have to have to sit through this season...
