I have it, it's good yet somehow lacking most of the more memorable songs from the series (they're on the second disc, Second Donuts: Happy Pack).

The disc has good flow, the songs are arranged in a manner that allows some songs to blend nicely with the previous or following song. Permanent Vacation is a good example, it blends perfectly with both the ending of the song before and the beginning of the following song.

The disc starts off with a prodominetely jazzy feel to it. The first nine or so songs are major saxaphone pieces, mostly those done by Midvalley the Horn Freak in the series. After the songs Philosophy in a Tea Cup, Cynical Pink and Not an Angel we get to hear the main/primary songs of the series, Sound Life R.E.M., Kaze wa Mirai ni Fuku and HT. Following them are more Hard Rock themed songs.

All and all it's a good album, easy and enjoyable to listen to. However, I still say the second album is the best, if only for the Insurance Girls skits and Wolfwood's dialogue with the cat. =P

A bit of trivia: Trigun composer (Imahori Tsuneo) plays guitar for Yoko Kanno on GITS SAC (just listen to Yakitori , Bebop, Wolf's Rain soundtracks. He also did soundtracks for Gungrave and Hajime no Ippo.
