found, and loved, by anime

ok, i love the pillows. they r one of the best music makers around, and i would have never found out about them if it werent for fooly cooly (aka furi kuri, flcl). who else has found a singer or group that they just became obsessed, or at least really liked, becasue of an anime show?

When I had replied to this thread the last time, I haven't watch FLCL yet. Now that I have watched it, I think the Pillows are really a great band. I really like the intro of Carnival.

Another singer I had discovered recently is Hiro-X, he sang a few songs in Prince of Tennis.

"FLCL has the best soundtrack of all" was what i thought when i watched it, and i still think so today

another one would be Yokko Kanno from Cowboy Bebop. Excellent stuff !

Naruto's second OP made me a big fan of Asian Kung-Fu Generation. Haruka Kanata is the one and only Japanese songs that I know the words to, by heart, from start to finish. Granted it's not the most complicated of songs, but it still impresses my nerdy friends. Their full length record Kunkei Five M is really fantastic stuff.

Oh and the Pillows rox city blox too. Those guys are incredible musicians. The FLCL OST's are amazing.
