On another note, I don't think the gay/lesbian gags in Akikan add all that much comic value to a series that is already having an uphill battle. You could have pretty much eliminated those, and not really change anything overall.

Just my 2 cents (and falling in value with this damned global recession).

Poor Najimi . But remember , you should be careful , don't play with love or you'll end up like Makoto (School Days) XD ahah , no in real life its not like that (well i didn't saw it yet but i know in Japan , Korea , there are some things like that )
"Punish Kakeru" Wow , Kakeru will die lol but not , in the next ep it seems he will met Najimi ....

I think the whole "Punish Kakeru" thing felt bit out of place. Mainly because it doesn't really fit with overall theme of the series. Still, Najimi gives me serious Yandere vibes...

Drooling over pictures of little boys could be considered quite perv. Doesn't bother me though, it just adds to entertainment value.

Overall, I like the series, but the horribly drawn characters really keeps bugging me.

I see what you are trying to do. However, you need to realize that this sexually aggressive behavior does not necessarily entail normal behavior for a gay man. The dude is a straight up creep. If he acted that way about girls, he would still be a creepy asshole.

Anyway, Najimi kinda lost it there. I'm interested in seeing how many different scenes she cries in. Yeah, and all that Nice Boat stuff going on. I like it... it should show up in more shows. It's like when you realize that in the show Ranma, if Ranma ever married Akane, Shampoo would most likely kill herself. haha.

I don't think so...i think at the end of ep 6 they're forming some kind of peace pact...but sorily most propably Kakeru choses Melon over Najimi at the end...
Perhaps it's like DearS or Chobbits where the artifical/not human chosen over the human one, but i think Najimi just more likable than Melon...the former shows had very likable main heroines...
