It seems the third season anime adaptation will be announced in the October 2009 issue of the seinen moe 4-panel manga magazine Manga Time Kirara Carat, which will be officially released on August 28th, 2009.

Whoever decided to animate this is totally insane.
It makes fun of so many real world leaders.
George Bush Jr is a total pansy, whereas George Bush Sr is a serious badass.

The out-of-this-world Mahjong in this puts Saki to shame. Like nuclear radiation tiles and spears made out of mahjong tiles killing opponent.

The September issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype magazine has revealed that the Satelight, Hal Film Maker, and JM Animation studios are producing an Anyamaru Tantei Kiruminzuu anime series for an October television premiere. Shoji Kawamori (Macross, Escaflowne, Basquash!) and the three studios reportedly conceived of the project, and Soichi Masui (Scrapped Princess) is directing it. Hal Film Maker animator Sumie Aizawa (Kemeko-DX episode animation director) is designing the characters, while Yōsuke Yūki and Eriko Matsuda (Itazura na Kiss scriptwriter) are supervising the scripts.

Finally, a TV series not based on some currently running manga or (light) novel.
