About Midnight power, it may be to convert reality into dream, or something of the sort. For better or for worse, at least we won't see any "dream dragon"

P/s: now that I think about it, nirvana may have a self-defense mechanism, in which it will summon a kind of guardian up to fight whoever attempt to destroy its control center by force.

Alright...Midnight art seems to change TOO much with each chapter, turning more gay and sadistic every week. Other than that, Natsu got rid of his only weakness :O:O:O Hope it's not permanent

Maybe the reason lies behind Midnight's abilities because as mentioned in a chapter before he/she can't be defeated by common magic. Maybe the ability is about backlashing the magic energy conured by her/his opponent (think oblivion's ward from dota if that helps anyone that knows it). This way her strength would scale with that of the enemy thus rendering a magical powerhouse like Gerard useless. Natsu or Erza for example would have to do some good punching/slicing without empowering themself with magic. Just one of my sily theories, they're usually off anyway

I think the theory is that Midnight has some disrupting magic that prevents his opponent's magic from affecting him. Either that, or he can reflect offensive spells directed at him.

NO, midnight has sharingan, that's why the opponents trapped in illusions think they hit him, but in fact they do not. Muahahaha.

Kidding aside, I still think Midnight ability is something similar to switching between dreams and reality, since it fits his theme of "sleeping."

My guess is tho that whats his name one Erza doesn't like will show up and help out. Seeing how Gerard and Jura got beaten, Natsu will probably do this one in as well, although I'm hoping for Erza to snatch the spotlight this time.
