Survival game anime

Hi. I'm looking for anime like Gantz, a plot surrounding a survival game of some sort. Other example of this is in a episode of School Rumble.

Nothing specific about what genres are involved. Just as long the anime's plot is about survival games.

I guess the only thing i can think of that's sort of similar is Eden of the East.

I never watched Gantz, but Fate/Stay Night, Mai HiME and Rozen Maiden fit into a "survival game" description.

Kaiji seems to have survival written all over it. Very intense too, which is why that series is so damn awesome. Things don't get much more twisted than they do in that show.

Kaiji is one of the sickest human game animes' ever..It'll make you laff, cry, and totally be disgusted...It's GREAT^^...Some eps you can't even breath it's so intense, and the outcomes are unpredictable and completely shocking at times (literally shocking as well as metaphorically)...Another aspect of Kaiji is the audience participation inwhich you won't be able to follow unless you listen specifically to the directions given onscreen which can sometimes be very complex...

Also try the father to the Kaiji show called Akagi, which is basically the same show accept for it's about mai-jong instead of a group of varying human torture gambling games...

Liar Game (J-drama) - One of the best gambling game live actions I ever watched..It's seems exactly like an anime and is almost as intense as Kaiji, it was a perfect pick-me-up after Kaiji ended and I needed another gambling gameshow...

Jyu oh Sei sort of fits. Sort of a "Most Dangerous game" motif.

Bokurano - This definitely fits as a survival game anime. It's a mech anime, but very unlike the usual kind of mech anime that's out there. A very enjoyable example of what mech anime could be like if they didn't follow the same predictable formula that this genre tends to.

It's not anime but manga (and a book and a movie too ) but Battle Royale is about a very brutal survival game, could be right up your alley.

And I second Mai-HiME (only the final third fits the requirement, though) and Bokurano.
'The world we live in is always in darkness.'
'Yes, and that is why we seek light.'

Kaiji is a good choice if you want a survival game anime, but I don't really like this anime . I prefer Akagi .
