This is besides the point. The question is not if a cartoon character can turn you on sexually but if you would want to marry one. It's not that it would have been normal if that guy had married his 3D-porn collection or had just been fallen in love with it.

The post I was responding to said, "How can someone get off from a cartoon?"

I don't know about you, but I take "get off from" as meaning physical attraction.

It is also an important difference if someone doesn't love you or is principally not capable to.

Perhaps that was a poor war of expressing what I mean there. Let's put it another way, is there any fundamental difference, other than social acceptablity, between having a crush on an anime character and having a crush on an actor or actress one will never meet in their life?

We went through this a thousand times already but it's also besides the point. A real AI wouldn't be any different from a human in any important feature that drove those AI lovers away from humans in the first place.

That was just an offhand comment on the closest situation I could think of that would result in the possibility of marriage.

Its funny that he had "other" game character girlfriends before he "met" her. I mean the game IS design for you to date these game characters.

Would be really funny when people on the net show him even if he "married" her, she is still a video game character that can be played on by other people hahaha.
