You just gotta love it when IGN announces that the live-action Halo movie is going Bollywood...
They actually started this a day early - as they had already released a screenshot of the trailer yesterday on the official Halo Twitter account. But Jesus...O_O...now I know why Russell Peters likes to make fun out of Bollywood.

I enjoyed Snake's new 'weapon' (you have to wonder what's really going on in that straw box) And kinda had too much fun on the xkcd website, it's a shame they're not leaving it like that for a spell >.> Many thanks for the links, makes for a fun April's fools!

April fools avatar changed in Deviantart
It seems thet some members are been afected by some kind of hacker in Deviantart that is making "jokes" for the April fool day, the joke itself is that the avatars of most users are being changed by icons of Lady GaGa and Twilight, in adition, the icons are kind of "blocked" and can't be changed by the users, I'm one of the victims since this moring I find out that my old avatar was replaced by one of Lady Gaga and my comment Signature was also edited, the worst is that I can't change them, no matter how much I try. I alredy reported with the moderators and I'm waiting to recieve a response with a solution. Just a few moments ago, I found out that I was not the only one with this problem.
Anyone here with a Deviantart acount is having the same issues?

I just got an answer from the Deviantart administration.
Yes, it was a joke fro the April fools day... from the administration, they said all Avatars and comment signatures will be back at normal tomorrow... oh, and they told me to don't forget sharing a llama. -_-; Honestly it wasn't funny, since at first I tough my acount was hacked and I changed the password I had used for 2 years. I hate April fools day.

Duplicate thread guys, it's already mentioned in the 'april fools' day thread that has a list of all the jokes for the day, if you read it, hee hee.
I kinda found that funny xD It's only the avatars changed and i'm sure that the admins will restore it, chill

^ Could end up with the culprit sentenced for serious murder.
Plus, the frequency of April Fools' hoaxes sometimes makes people doubt real news stories released on April 1. "Also on April 1, 2009, a Virus/Worm was called Conficker and spread to millions of computers and releasing personal info and deleting files. This was supposed to be a joke, but random computers throughout America were hit. Before this happened, news media like NBC, Fox News, ABC and CBS told the viewers to install firewalls and updates to their Windows Computers before it hit." and "The April 1, 1946 Aleutian Island earthquake tsunami that killed 165 people in Hawaii and Alaska resulted in the creation of a tsunami warning system (specifically the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre), established in 1949 for Pacific Ocean countries. The tsunami in question is known in Hawaii as the "April Fools' Day Tsunami" due to people drowning because of the assumptions that the warnings were an April Fools' prank." Source: Wikipedia.

I didn't see a lot of 1APR stuff today, but I saw some. The Google/Topeka thing was hilarious (especially their crack at AltaVista). XKCD's stuff was good. RPGamer always has a few good releases. The Xenoblade write-up was hilarious.
I'm depressed that I remember that that's Sucrose despite having last used that formula about 4.5 years ago.

You guys need to lighten up.
Anyways, I understand Gaga and Twilight, but what's up with the Seeker avatars? Considering the show is not popular enough to warrant a season 3, I find it hard that they'd be included. Unless the DeviantArt admins are pretty big fans. |
