To make it more relevant, if we assume that kido based attacks transform energy into an irreversable state (such as thermal energy), then respira's ability to accelerate time, would dissipate this energy extremely fast. This would leave only a tiny fraction of energy left remaining to do work if any at all (in this case, work=blow **** up).
Yeah, it can be transferred, but even if it dissipates as you say due to time...where does it go? While one could say there is infinite time there is only finite space in the distance of King skeleton and the attack. If its only dissapating in the area of his death breath...its wouldnt be enough to reduce the work to make the attack ineffective.

A pure energy attack of immense order should seriously **** him up...!

They're high up in the sky. From the way I see it, there's virtually an unlimited amount of space for the energy to dissipate to.

I suppose an energy attack immense enough and concentrated enough might have a chance of retaining the amount of work neccessary to break through respira and damage Barry's body (in theory). But respira effectively serves as a barrier for Barry that surrounds the entirety of his body. Anything within it's range is supposed to get done-in too quickly to cause any damage to him. So unless the shear intensity of the energy attack can overcome that obstacle, I'm not quite getting how such attacks should be able to do any damage to him so long as he remains inside the zone of his own breath. I'd make a flash animation to demonstrate how I'm picturing it in my mind, but I'm feeling too lazy. Sorry.

Btw, good conversation. I didn't expect to have to think this much on such an uneventful Sunday.

kidou barriers might help
