At last. Been a month since the manga wrapped up, now time for the anime to follow.
I don't really have high expectations for this episode though, since 63 made it obvious that they must've worked on these last couple of episodes before they actually got the final chapter itself, and instead probably adapted it through storyboards slightly different from the final product and whatnot. Oh well, should still be enjoyable on its own. I do hope the art will be better than last week's though, which seemed kinda rushed. |

Meh... Couldn't tell much, because the stream I was watching kept cutting out and off (I get the entirety of the three minute walk to the door, but the very end is skipped...), but it didn't seem like they really added anything, just stretched out what was left.
Spoiler for spoiler:

lol @ Roy. Going for the Tony Stark/Howard Hughes look.
The pictures at the end of the anime were better than the sketches we see at the end of the manga. Adult May Chang looks older than she looks in the sketches of the photographs in the manga. Alex Armstrong is posing before a more appropriate audience. They went almost scene for scene, since a movie will most likely fill in what happens in between the final scene and those pictures. I like the map of the continent. It's quite a big world Ed and Al live in, their adventure was centered in such a small area of the world. It makes me wonder what Arakawa could have in store. Another series based in the same planet, just a different country? A spinoff? |
